This represents a digital twin of the actual device, i.e. support on the engineering drawing level. It will allow a virtual display of the system’s interior on the screen without the need for the actual device to be in front of the expert.

Tool 4: Device monitoring & management

Lastly, this kind of digital service guards against malfunctions in the future. It is primarily intended as condition-based maintenance. The term stands for the ability to apply device monitoring and management to record device data remotely and analyze processes transparently. In this way, the need for preventive maintenance can be identified and responded to. If a problem is upcoming, an automatic alert ensures that the service will respond quickly.
